Alan Johnson
As a life-long turf lover, Alan grew up in Alcester, SD helping his family mow and maintain the yard. Throughout his teenage years, this chore turned into an obsession to make their outdoor oasis picture perfect. His attention to detail and eye for design lead him to pursue an architecture degree. However, as fate would have it, he was first accepted into the landscape architecture program where he earned a BS in Landscape Design and Horticulture. With over 10 years of professional experience as a Landscape Designer, Alan’s passion for creating something out of nothing is a cornerstone of Bluestone Landscape Co.

Aaron Johnson
Aaron grew up in Alcester, SD where he had a small business during his teenage years mowing yards for neighbors, friends and family. He completed internships at the prestigious Winged Foot Golf Club and Hazeltine National Golf Club and also spent four years as the Assistant Superintendent at Town and Country Club in St. Paul, Minnesota (the birthplace of Minnesota golf). After honing his skills in turfgrass management at Town and Country, he accepted the Superintendent position at Dacotah Ridge Golf Club near Redwood Falls, MN (one of the top 5 public courses in Minnesota). During his 10 years at Dacotah Ridge, he earned the status of Certified Golf Course Superintendent (CGCS) from the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.
